Creating Connections, The Children's Center Project, will research, coordinate and implement a central volunteer system within the multiple Children's Center programs. During the 2004-2005 League year, The Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. will research the successful volunteer systems of other community organizations and adopt those same principals to Creating Connections. After the research has been concluded we will then develop a main scheduling base so the current volunteers will be utilized to their fullest potential.

The Creating Connections Committee will develop and present a power point presentation to showcase the volunteer opportunities at the Children's Center to other community organizations to bring in volunteers, as well as, coordinate the training of these volunteers through the training system.

Over the next two years we plan to utilize League volunteers along with many other volunteers within the community, assist the Children's Center in the hiring of a Volunteer Coordinator, and research other possible programs that will provide additional volunteer opportunities.
