Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. Announces 2014-2015 Leadership Council
New Leaders Usher in the League’s 89th Year
Galveston County, Texas – The Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. is proud to announce the Council of Vice Presidents guiding the League for the 2014-2015 year.
- Lynsey Ginsberg – President Elect/Parliamentarian
- Lisa Higgins – Communications Vice President
- Emily Lindberg – Community Vice President
- Deborah Jones – Finance Vice President
- Kimberly Moore– Fund Development Vice President
- Christi Jensen – Membership Vice President
- Amanda Hawes – Secretary
- Jocelyn Sullivan – Past President
Angie Brown will lead the organization this year as President. Brown has a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in historic preservation. She has worked for nonprofit organizations in Houston, Minneapolis and Washington, DC. In the nine years that she and her family have lived in Galveston, Brown has served as a member of several local non-profit boards of directors. She brings a broad knowledge of nonprofit management to the Junior League of Galveston County, Inc.
“I joined the Junior League to meet like-minded women who were interested in making a meaningful, lasting change in our community,” said Angie. “I didn’t realize at the time that the Junior League would provide me with so many training and leadership opportunities that would be useful in other areas of my life. All women have some things to give and some things to learn and the Junior League encourages both.”
The Junior League of Galveston County stands poised to continue its mission-driven work helping the children, women, and families of Galveston County reach their full potential.
