Junior League of Galveston County Now Accepting Applications for Community Assistance Fund
Galveston County, Texas – Through the generous support of its donors and volunteers, The Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. (JLGC) is able to fill needs around Galveston County that help fulfill its mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
The Junior League of Galveston County Community Assistance Fund enables the Junior League to respond to the short-term, immediate funding needs of 501(c)(3) non-profit agencies within Galveston County that meet specific criteria and guidelines. Primary consideration will be given to requests of an emergency nature, or to those that develop and/or expand a significant service to the community.
The amount awarded cannot exceed the sum of $1,000, and will serve as a one-time donation for any single calendar year. In addition, no organization can receive an award for more than three (3) consecutive years.
Should your organization have a need for support through the CAF program, and your request meets the criteria as outlined in the below document, please respond by completing the below application and mailing it to:

Please be aware that all applications must be RECEIVED by October 31.
Agencies receiving funding in the past include: The Sunshine Center, Inc.; MI Lewis Social Service Center; Lutheran Music Academy; Galveston Island Oktoberfest; Galveston Arts Center; Texas City Day Nursery; Teen Health Care Center; Christus Our Daily Bread; Hospice Care Team; and The Family Service Center of Galveston County.
