Junior League of Galveston County Leadership Council Announced New Leaders Usher in the League’s 87th Year
Galveston, Texas – The Junior League of Galveston County is proud to formally announce the council of Vice Presidents guiding the League for the 2012-2013 year.
Junior League of Galveston County Council of Vice Presidents:
- Jocelyn Sullivan – President Elect/Parliamentarian
- Sarah Sullivan – Communications Vice President
- Jennifer Caffey – Community Vice President
- Amy Lilly – Finance Vice President
- Holly Pelletier – Fundraising Vice President
- Kristen Lepo – Membership Vice President
- Elizabeth McCarty – Secretary
- Yvette Schulz – Past President
This year the League will be headed by Amanda Gaido as president. Amanda, wife to Michael Gaido, III and mother to Madison, Kate and Ellie, is a fifth grade teacher for
Galveston ISD. In her 11th active year as a member of the Junior League of Galveston County, Amanda’s goal is to continue to improve Galveston County by identifying community needs, building relationships and creating programs to meet these needs.
“I love the League because it gives me an outlet to give back to the community that I was born and raised in,” said Gaido. “It’s heartwarming to see the joy on the faces of the people we are able to assist.”
Now celebrating its 87th year, the League continues to grow and evolve, reaching out to meet the changing needs of the area. The Junior League of Galveston County stands poised to continue its mission-driven work helping the children, women, and families of Galveston County reach their full potential.
